My Thoughts:
3.5 stars

I quite enjoyed this book. I gave it a lower rating because it's weird to hate some parts of a book and love the others. I am rating and reviewing these individually.

Midnights - Rainbow Rowell
5/5
Bit weird that the one author in this book whose books I just seem to hate has my favourite story of the bunch. Desperately loved this one.

The Lady and the Fox - Kelly Link
1/5
I really didn't like this story. Was probably the worst of the bunch. I didn't get it. It was terribly executed and the romance was so creepy. Really not enjoyable.

Angels in the Snow - Matt de la Pena
5/5
excellent story. I would have read an entire book about these characters and it's tied with Midnights for my favourite story. I can't believe how much I cared for Shy in just one short story. These two reminded me a bit of Brittney and Alex from Perfect Chemistry. Love love love!

Polaris Is Where You'll Find Me - Jenny Han
3/5
The idea was quite unique. I just was not a fan of the execution of it. I wanted a clearer conclusion about the ending and which romance was the one that I was supposed to care about. Why put a love triangle in a short story though like why.

It's a Yuletide Miracle Charlie Brown - Stephanie Perkins
4/5
I loved how rude/sarcastic North was and he had me laughing out loud many times. I love the idea of this story and how he just comes into her life and fixes her entire house. I just wish we got her mom's reaction.

Your temporary Santa Claus - David Levithan
1/5
I hated this story. I could not connect to the characters. I did not care about anyone. I didn't care about the story. I don't understand why the middle sister was yelling, why the mom was weird and I just didn't understand or care about this. Horrible execution and really boring plot.

Krampuslauf - Holly Black
1/5
Skimmed. I don't really care about this story and its plot. Not very Christmassy and really wasn't interesting.

What the Hell Have You Done Sophie Roth - Gayle Forman
3/5
I loved that she called it bumfuckville University. My problems with this story were: why do short stories have characters with tragic backgrounds. Can we just have a Christmas story with no tragic background. As well the main girl was a really privileged brat. Like WOW SORRY you hate your college that you got a free ride to. I really hate that I never seem to like anything Gayle Forman has done since If I Stay and Where She Went. I guess those were a fluke.

Beer Buckets and Baby Jesus - Myra McEntire
4/5
I've never heard of this author but I really enjoyed this story. It was cute, I loved the background to the characters. Kind of irritated with the tragic backstory but still loved it. Would love to know why Shelby was all weird at the end. The title was bad though I thought it would be a trailer park story to be honest.

Welcome to Christmas, CA - Kiersten White
2/5
Not a fan of this in general. No reason, just barely cared.

Star of Bethlehem - Ally Carter
3/5
Unique and creative! I really liked this story and the way she ended up where she did. I need to read more Ally Carter!

The Girl Who Woke the Dreamer - Laini Taylor
1/5
I just didn't like the writing enough to read the end of this story. I loved the idea but the writing :/
